Port Millom and the Energy Coast

Port Millom sits at the southern edge of West Cumbria, on the Duddon Estuary, with a tidal link to the Irish Sea. It is a small, independent quay that can serve energy and construction projects across the area.

The quay has a 150-metre piled section on a clean, solid base, around 3.2 hectares of level hardstanding for storage and handling, and roughly 7 hectares of further land that is suitable for development. Our pilot buoys the inward channel when needed and a tug can be arranged.

We are looking for partners who need to bring materials into West Cumbria and the heart of the Lake District, or to move plant and materials out to the offshore environment and the wind farm developments in the Irish Sea. Being small and independent, we can price our facilities competitively and work flexibly with the people who use the port. See the site specification for more detail, or contact us to discuss a project.
